I thought the surface would suit him better than Navan, the ground was slow in Navan. It was a solid run and he was only just caught in the last 50 yards up the hill in Navan. I thought around here on the ground and an easier five, he might get the money. He stuck at it and knuckled down well. We'll keep him at it up here.

Gary's a good judge of pace and the horse has obviously come down a lot in the handicap. He's a funny old horse - he's by Kingman and he has his own thoughts on the game, but he owes us nothing. He has been a great servant for us. Delighted for Seamus (Devlin), big supporter of the yard and he has been very patient with him. He was running into a bit of form based on his last run and even his run before that in Navan was a pretty decent run. It would be nice if he could back it up, but today was the day.

We brought him here last week and he went well. He was trained in Dubai last year, but they ran out of racing because it ended on 26th March. They sent him over to me summer time. We couldn't get a race for him because the ground was too dry. It has worked out and I'd say he will win again. Thank God we are flying now. That two-year-old that won last week (Perfect Pacemaker) was sold to Hong Kong yesterday.
