Zabarajad gets there in the end
He kept punters on the edge if anyone backed him. He won anyway, but he'll hardly be rated 105 after this. I thought the pace would collapse in front. It's hard to know where he'll go after this. He stayed on well in the end.
Sunset an eyecatching Beauty
My brother Patrick owns her. We'll bring her to Leopardstown on Thursday. We'll keep her as a broodmare now.
Triumphant well named
Hollymount King of Gowran Park
Conor gave him a super ride. 99% of credit goes to him. It was a good intelligent ride. My last winner was Casela Park (second at Leopardstown last night for trainer Jaclyn Tyrrell) in March 2010 at Dundalk so it has been a long time since then. I only have six riding out at the moment. I suppose it is a sign of the times. Hopefully I'll get a few more horses now.
Printmaker sets the headlines
He got a lovely ride, a perfect ride. Last day he ran at the Curragh he ran up in the front in a strong headwind so I said to Keagan to chase one down today if possible. When your luck is in your luck is in. I would have pulled him out on firm ground but the rain came just in time. He chased down the leader well and won well. He's worth going for a big pot now, maybe the Tote Mile in Galway. It's great to get a winner for Sheikh Mohammed.
Night Singer swoops to conquer
He'll go to Leopardstown on Thursday for a one mile two furlong apprentice handicap for three year olds only. He's also in Killarney but I think the ground would be too soft for him there. He's small but gutsy. Ian Brennan who used to ride for me advised me to buy the horse at the sales last year. He was third to Dubawi Gold [second in both the English and Irish 2000 Guineas] in Ayr in a maiden last year. This is a lucky spot for me.
