She's had a little bit of a break, came back and she's fresh. She travelled really well today over the mile-and-a-half and she's so versatile. She's so tough and the type of mare you'd like to own. She's by Teofilo, she's won eight, she's ultra consistent and very very rarely runs a bad race. She will make a lovely broodmare someday but not yet though! J S Bolger, trainer

The Stewards enquired into two incidents in the straight, the first involving Birthplace, ridden by J.A. Heffernan and Venezia, ridden by S. Foley; the second involving Catchy Lass, ridden by C.J. McGovern and Birthplace, ridden by J.A. Heffernan. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the first incident was caused by accidental interference and took no further action. They were however of the opinion C.J. McGovern was in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly in relation to the second incident and suspended him for 1 race day. D.P. McDonogh, rider of Abraham trained by J.R. Barry, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was accidentally struck by a whip approximately two furlongs from the finish. J.A. Heffernan, rider of Birthplace trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount received interference inside the final furlong.

An extended handicap for four yrs old and upwards (90 = 9st 10lb)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 9st 10lb
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 5lb extra; for each race won.
