Permission was given for Kriss William (FR) to be mounted in the Pre-Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held to consider why Miss Lucinda Ticehurst, the rider of Ar Fheabhas Ar Fad (IRE), had continued in the race when her horse had become increasingly detached from the rest of the field, finishing sixth, beaten 200+ lengths.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
The rider explained that she has ridden the mare before and was never concerned that Ar Fheabhas Ar Fad (IRE) was tired or jumping badly and that she hadn’t realised just how far ahead the rest of the runners were.
She also reported that the mare was in season.
Her explanation was accepted.
