Loudest Whisper gains appropriate Galway winner
it was Conor's first time riding for me and he is a great lad and did what we asked him to do. I was hoping we'd get into the race but thought we'd no chance of getting into any of the handicaps so was very surprised when we did get in. She has been very consistent and while she is a small filly, was up at the top of the weights at Bellewstown on her last start and found it hard to carry it home. We said we'd be better going for a better race with a lower weight and she is entered for Sligo on Wednesday and could also go back on the flat. We'd like to go back to our local track Bellewstown but it is great to get a winner here. We have been training a long time and my grand uncle Ned Delany had the Galway Hurdle winner in 1938 with Serpolette; we have one named after him running at Sligo next week.
Hackett savours first festival success
His run the last day sharpened him up; he can race on and off the bridle so we gave him a few spins on the flat and it worked out grand. The 7lbs was a huge help carrying 9st9lbs and it is Simon's first ride for me, and I'm delighted for him and he gave him a great spin. We were hoping he'd get into the Grade B hurdle, but that's my first Galway festival winner and we won't be greedy!. We might look at taking him across to Cheltenham for the November meeting and he has plenty of size and scope to jump fences; I want to have a crack at a big pot before we go chasing.

Convara toughs it out from front
We don't know would he have won or not the last day and I'd say he lost his confidence after Tipperary. He was a brilliant jumper of a fence and has improved for fences, but today is as bad as he has jumped. I'll keep him going in those small field novice chases and hope to pick up prize money and we'll see what happens; he might also jump better with a lead. I thought the ground might have been plenty heavy for him, but he said he handled it well.

Mindsmadeup rewards decision to run
We were in two minds to run him this morning and two of the owners Shay Gillen and Tom McGrady decided to let him take his chance. This race was the plan last year but unfortunately he was lame the day before the race, so we had to pull him out and it was the target again. The intention was to hopefully win and get him up a few pounds and he'll go for the Kerry National now. It was lovely to get and Robbie gave him some ride in fairness to him.
Eilise's A Lady and a double winner
She is a fair mare, she isn't big but is all heart and she is very well bred. It is not surprising she could be a good mare because of the pedigree she has. I think we might put her by and go for the Listed bumper at Gowran in October. She is brilliant over hurdles and none of the family were any good until they went jumping. She'll be limited to hurdles but we'll settle for that!. Aaron is 20 and has only ridden for me, but rides out for Jessica Harrington and if he could get outside rides he'd be delighted.
