She did it nicely and learned a lot from Leopardstown. She is a good, tough, honest filly and should stay further as her mother (Front House) won a South African Oaks. We will try to get her some black type.

Enter The Red brings up double for Hayes

I was hopeful coming here tonight as he ran very well the last day. We freshened him up and the extra furlong seemed to help. He seems a better horse this year and he’s better at the Curragh. Hopefully he’ll come back here in a fortnight.

Sheehy the Apprentice Derby hero

He likes this place. He had a niggly injury at the backend of last season and it was probably a blessing as he likes to be fresh. He’s spot on once he gets a run under his belt. He could come back here on Oaks weekend for the Ladies Derby. He travelled like a dream and did the same here last year as well.

Sea The Lion roars home for Whelan

He was a good horse when Mick Halford had him but unfortunately for him he went wrong. We were lucky to pick him up and I’ve had no problems with him. He’s very laidback and eats and trains away. It’s great to have a Sea The Stars in the yard and to be winning races with him too. He's a stayer and when he got the gap he picked up well. Ronan said the ground was ideal for him today.

Clongowes makes it two in a week

He was very game. The drop back in trip was not an issue once there was plenty of pace, and he can provide his own pace. He’s tough, progressive and sound and Kevin said he was very strong at the line.

Cannonball blitzes them in the Curragh

He’ll go wherever there is soft ground and is a big, backward baby. He has a lot of potential but physically is demanding to say the least. He’s a work in progress but has an engine and should improve again.
