Caesar's Comet lands claimer for McAuley
He’s been in brilliant form for a good while now. The last day in Sligo was a mess as there was no stalls and Chris (Hayes) was ready to jump twice but they didn’t let them go and then third time he missed the break. It was a complete non-entity. This was the first time he’s got fast ground outside Dundalk since we’ve had him. We’d have been disappointed if he didn’t run well as he’s been working well. They are all in to be claimed (three runners). Approach The City cost two grand so if someone gives fifteen, let them on. If not he’ll go jumping after that.

Red Heel dominates off the front
We had her entered earlier in the year but there was a problem with her vaccinations so we said we’d keep her for here. She should have run a month ago. I thought she was an ideal one to jump and go and I’m delighted for the owner Susan Archdeacon who is a lovely person. She’s only rated 56 so hopefully the handicapper won’t go mad. She’s a big filly but has a lot of quirks attached to her. I have to get Will Hayes to put her in the stalls. She has ability and there are more races to be won if we can keep her in the same frame of mind.

Drish Hero makes fast start for Des Donovan
I only have the horse about three weeks. I bought him off Donal Commins and I always thought five furlongs was his trip. He battled it out well in the last furlong and should improve again from that. He loved the ground and has won at Dundalk as well. I was a bit worried drawn 13 today but he jumped out well and Colin gave him a great ride.

Whearty rides first winner at his 'home' track
Robert used to ride out for me and started when he was about 13. I’m delighted for him. He has a lot of experience from pony racing and is very strong in a finish for a 10lb claimer. His father, Thomas, is a great man and brings him everywhere. He bought him a simulator for Christmas about two years ago and you can see the dividends that has paid. This was her seventh attempt at Bellewstown. I used to come here as a child so this is special for me. I’d two winners here last year so I kind of aim them at it. She was 4lb lower on the grass than at Dundalk and with Robert’s 10lb claim I felt she had a good chance. She jumps a fence as well and could go over to England and compete at a lower level when everything opens up. That’s her fourth win so I’m delighted with her.
