Barry strikes at local track with Bucks
I'm delighted with him as he hasn't run for a while but I was expecting him to run a big race. I thought he mightn't beat the favourite. We got him back in January. He was with Sharon Dunphy and she had a nice job done with him. Brian was good and strong on him. He comes in two mornings a week so he knows the horse. There is more work and pressure in this game, the riding was easy! He will keep going on that good ground and hopefully he'll keep improving. He will be kept busy over the summer.

Barry & O'Connell double-up with Patsio
He had been knocking on the door up until Tipperary. He was very consistent without getting his head in front. I would have been disappointed today had he been beaten. Brian said he probably got there a bit too soon on him but we came out the right side of it anyway. Hopefully he will keep progressing and he will probably keep going for the summer.
Letter gets top Award under inspired Mullins
He was a good horse when he was younger but he was off for a long time then. He was going well the last time in Tipperary before he missed a hurdle. Full credit goes to the jockey who gave him a good ride.
Temple provides a shock in beginners chase
We didn't think he was going to do much today but he won a point-to-point and obviously he's better over fences. We'll see what kind of mark he gets.
Anna gets Larkin off the mark
That's my first track winner and I have just four in. I've had a few point-to-point winners before. I have bred plenty of winners like Puget Blue, Coole River and Dempsey, they were the best of them. I have the licence four or five years but I haven't had that many runners.
Barry is the King of Tramore with 296/1 treble
It's a great day and it's great to do it at my local track. I rode a treble here before. They are healthy now but were under the weather earlier in the year. It's a team job and I have brilliant staff. Hopefully they will keep healthy and keep going. I own half of this one myself. Johnny Burke from Sligo is the other man involved (in the Two Plus Two Syndicate).
