Oxx's Power off mark at 3rd attempt
We are very happy with him. He had two good runs at Naas on soft ground which he doesn't like so we are delighted with him. . We were waiting for good ground and this is the place to come for fast ground and he liked it and he just lobbed along in front. He was a bit idle in front but he did enough to win. . He's a nice horse and he should stay well next year. Going a bit of distance hopefully he will be a nice horse. He likes fast ground and is a horse we like. . It would have taken a good one to beat him but he had to make it there. He did it nicely. . His form was good. He had a wide draw the first time and had to come from a good bit back, and the second time he fell asleep in the stalls and was badly away and had a bit too much to do again. . They were two good runs when he was struggling in the soft. He needs a little break, he's had three runs. Hopefully he will be a nice three-year-old.
Lee pleases O'Brien with Tomahawk ride
I'm delighted with that and delighted with the ride Billy (Lee) gave him, sure he was absolutely brilliant on him. . He ran well here the last night and we haven't done a whole pile with him since and I'd say that probably helped him. . There's something for him on the 8th of November and he could run in that. He has been fantastic for us - he has been first, second and third in his five runs.
Goldrush wins another Listed race
School gets there on 17th attempt
He was a bit unlucky here in February time, he hung coming across the track,. Conor (McGovern) gave him a superb ride there. He is apprenticed to me now and that's his first winner for the yard, he only started last week. Newcastle didn't suit him last week, I thought he would have had a great shout. The straight six furlongs he got very bored, he broke too keen and ran too keen. . Things worked out far better for him tonight, the gaps opened and everything fell into place for him. . He's a handicapper. He was a cheap horse, and he has himself well paid for now. . It's great to have the support of Rita Shah.
'Double carpet' Reflection pops up at Dundalk
Thanks to Frank (Berry, McManus racing manager) and JP for giving her to dad. Ralph Beckett had her early on in the season and dad got her then halfway through the year. We haven't got her that long. . She battled nicely. She won well, she jumped and travelled great. I had it in my head to ride her to run well - first run and see if she would handle the all-weather and she loved it. She travelled great and got there and toughed it out well.
