Runyon Rattler wins for Ring & Rothwell
he was disappointing and he has had plenty of problems. It was a bad race today but he won well. He didn't jump well today and in a better maiden he wouldn't get away with that.
Tellthemnuttin gains Wexford compensation
the disqualification at Downpatrick was hard to take for the guys (Heads Or Harps Syndicate) - Dylan made a decision that day and none of us thought she’d lose it and it was disappointing for the guys. I'm delighted for the syndicate, they’re really enthusiastic and love racing. Hopefully she stays health and sound and we'll get more days out of her. I'm delighted she has won somewhere other than Downpatrick, with no disrespect, because it just gives us more options. She takes her racing well and is tough and might go to Galway next Wednesday if she gets into the mares handicap hurdle over two mile one. It might be on the short side but she owns us nothing this year.
Royal Ascot winner on the mark at Wexford
he’s an honest auld devil and that's his level. He has been knocking on the door for a good while trying to win one of those and that's probably as good as he is. We will step him up to 102 or 109 again and see how he gets on and if he starts to struggle over hurdles we’ll send him novice chasing. He was due to run in Kilbeggan last Friday night but it turned too soft and we took him out as needs it on the quick side of good. Being a Definite Article he can't operate with a cut in it at all.
Definite springs surprise under Hayes
Morris on the mark with Carole Rose
I’ll try and find a three mile race for her now - she wants three miles, even though she won well over two and a half today. I'll have to look and find a race for her somewhere, maybe a mares race. . She was bred by her owner Sean O'Driscoll and he still has the mare at home.
King's Wharf follows-up on Killarney success
It was a brilliant sit by Niall. He had a winner at Ballinrobe the other night (Graney Town) so he is just hitting form at the right time. The penny is only dropping with this horse now. He was a very difficult ride when he came to us, and we had to learn a bit about him. He doesn't go right-handed. It has taken a bit of time for us to learn about him. Now that the penny has dropped hopefully he can go on and win another one or two. He will mix it between hurdles and fences, and I'd imagine we will find another similar race for him sometime in August. John Codd rides him out at home and he has done a great job at making him more manageable. It was a great sit from Niall and it's great for him to get a bit of a run before Galway. He is a very important part of the staff at home.
Kane wins a fourth race on his 'auld gem'
Kielys on a High following Wexford win
that’s my first winner on the track although I've had a few point-to-point winners and she won three point-to-point's in a row for us this year. Things are starting to go alright for us, we just put in a new gallop and hopefully it'll pay off. I'm based in Dungarvan and we have three or four in at the moment.
