Having reviewed recordings of the false starts, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
Following the race, Alain Cawley reported that he pulled up Seaston Spirit (GB) after the gelding was very slowly away from the standing start following two false starts, and became detached from the rest of the field after jumping the first two fences very deliberately.
Jonathan Burke reported that he pulled up Oscar Robertson (IRE) after a bad mistake 3 out which caused the reins to come over the gelding's head.
Michael Nolan reported that I See You Well (FR), placed eighth, ran flat.
John Flint reported that the race may have come too soon for Amateur (IRE) having run only 15 days prior to today's engagement.
Nicky Richards reported that Glittering Love (IRE), which was pulled up, was unsuited by the Good to Soft ground on this occasion and would prefer a softer surface.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Straight Swap (IRE), which was pulled up, bled from the nose.
