College Daisy takes opener at Kilbeggan
She did it well, she's been in particularly good form lately and we thought she'd run well. She'd a good run at Tipperary but she'd no race in Galway. Ian McCarthy rode her in Galway last time out and when he got down to the start he felt the saddle was a bit loose so he got down to fix it and when he got back up one of the handlers flicked the reins back over his head. When they jumped off Ian tried to bring the horse to the inside rail so he pulled on the reins but horse went in the other direction as the reins had twisted.
Global Position opens account over hurdles
That was super he had some good form early on and it just took him awhile to get it right. He was second to a good mare of Willie Mullins at Thurles last year but he lost the plot then. He's a very well bred horse, we bought him from Jim Bolger. He should make a great chaser in time. We will creep up now and try and find something similar. Willie Donohue owns the horse, he is from Galway and that's his first horse and first winner, so I'm delighted for him.
Jackson at his best
Flynn's good run continues
Tripolovitch impressive at Kilbeggan
The extra trip really suited him these kind of bumpers are hard to come by. He ran a cracker the last day after being off for a year. He deserved to win today. He's only a five year old he's been 3rd three times and has now won. He should make a lovely staying hurdler in time. I'll have to discuss with Barry where we go next either we go for a winner's bumper or go hurdling. Hopefully we'll win a few more with him.
Jack scores for O'Grady
Steve Capall takes last
We've nothing but school him since Galway and it's worked out well. We will probably go for something similar maybe a winner's race or that we will keep him on the go now.
