Pearl takes Wexford opener
I'd delighted for Sheikh Fahad, a member of the Qatar royal family, who is involved in Pearl Bloodstock Ltd which own Music Pearl. He bought Wade Giles from us last year too. Music Pearl is a genuine little filly and improved from her last run . today's track probably suited her too.
Benson steers a clear path on Ridge
Danny gave Solent Ridge a good intelligent ride. Danny has been showing us at home what he could do and has transferred that onto the racecourse now. Solent Ridge is a horse who doesn't like being slapped but Danny didn't panic and was very clever. I was a little worried about the trip for Solent Ridge today.

Grand finish for bookies
Grand Cru is owned by my wife Gemma Murphy and will mix if between Flat and hurdles for the summer. He wants fast ground and has been working well at home. We may go to Tramore in a few weeks time for a handicap hurdle.
Doyle off cold trainers list as Annie scores
That's a relief, its been nearly 900 days since my last winner, Kilcrea Castle in December of '08 at Punchestown. She is a nice mare with a good pedigree and she will go for a maiden hurdle next. Tim O'Leary her owner, is my farrier from Castlelyons, Co Cork. He had Corrieann who won twice here in Wexford in '05 and'‘07.
Sallyanka had to pull all the stops there but she is a tough mare and it's nice to get a winners' bumper with her. I said after Kilbeggan that she'd go for hurdle but she will definitely go hurdling now. She is owned by Mark McDonagh, from Cratloe, Co Clare, who had Don't Be Bitin with us previously.
