Robin De Carlow two from two in her promising career
Mullins and Townend double up with Dreamtide
It was nice to get her off to a winning start. We'll stay over hurdles for the time being but I'll go back on the Flat with her later on in the season. Being a half-sister to Wicklow Brave it's nice to have her. She was very green once she got in front and Paul said she just dropped everything but she hadn't many runs on the Flat either and he thinks she's still learning. She'll hopefully improve from that and going on that ground is a big benefit.
Blackmore keeps up pace at top of the table
Bee A Beneficiary toughs it out by a pair of short heads
She had been keen before and we were running her over shorter distances to help her settle, it seems to have worked. Donagh, in fairness, gave her a brilliant ride.
Barra wins her beginners' chase in good style
She's a nice mare. On form she was entitled to win it. We'll try and find a bit of black-type for her now over fences and that'd be job done, she has black-type over hurdles. She's not a bad mare. We'll have a look and see what there is for her, she'll be kept busy anyway.
Timiyan takes feature and brings up Elliott's double
I knew barring a disaster we were going to have the one-two so it's great. We got the right result anyway and it didn't matter which one won, we're happy with it anyway. The winner has a bit of an engine and he's a nice horse. He's in the Plate but we'll enjoy today and see what happens. Maybe more of a slog would have suited Rogue Angel and Jack said he had a bit of a blow at the wrong time but he'll come on from the run. He'll be okay too. I think it's about the only National we hadn't won so it's nice to win it.
Newcomer Braid Blue gives Elliott a treble
He's a grand honest horse and stays galloping. I'd say he'll improve a bit from it. It's nice to get a winner for Philip McBurney, that's his first horse in training with us. You see a lot of the McBurney trucks on the roads. I'll get him home and see how he is before making plans but I'd say he'll definitely come on for the run.
