Stars returns to form on the sand
She's hard work but did run well at the Curragh the other day. They went quick which suited her as she's a slow sprinter. She may run again at Navan next Wednesday.
First juvenile winner for Love
A lot of the thanks must go to Pat Smullen who has pointed us in the right direction and has ridden her out at the Curragh. She's a very genuine filly, and that's my first two-year-old winner. I have another two-year-old by Kodiac that has not run yet. We needed that as it is a long time since the National!
Third time lucky for Masai
We ran him on soft ground as we thought he might just get away with it, but he just couldn't handle the ground at Listowel. He was much happier on that surface and he stayed on well.
Zalty scores for Lynch & Marnane
Queen lives up to her name again
She is a genuine filly, and has been running well all season. She was drawn bad at Roscommon the last day and her ideal trip is really a mile, but the ground was going against her this weekend so we took a chance and came here.
Another treble for record-breaking O'Brien
He's often slow out, and I was delighted Joseph rode him here a fortnight ago as he knew him today. They went a good gallop which gave him the chance to gradually get into the race. He was bought as a fun horse by Chris (Byrne), and he'll ride him in an amateur race at Galway later this month. The yard is in good form at the minute and long may it last.
Another Carlingford for tough Magnus
