The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Plezantlysurprised (GB), trained by Mrs.Jessica Magnier, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
The Stewards enquired into an incident about two hundred yards from the finish involving Forca Brasil, ridden by J. Coen and Collective Power, ridden by M.P. Sheehy, where it appeared that Forca Brasil edged left and bumped Collective Power. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, M.P. Sheehy stated that when he asked his mount to accelerate, Forca Brasil came out to him and bumped. J. Coen stated that his mount had raced very keen, got tired in the straight and edged left when the whip was applied with the right hand. He added that he immediately attempted to straighten up his mount. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action. Kevin Borthwick accompanied J. Coen at this enquiry.
