Keane moves ahead in championship
Halford on the mark with sales-bound Finans Bay
I had this race in mind for him because he is going on to the Sales (October 24). He was badly handicapped and it was hard for him but he is after dropping down the handicap, so that was ideal for him. It is great to see him back tonight and I was delighted with his attitude. we had a lot of horses we had to get handicapped and then we had some nice, backward two-year-olds. The ground was firm during the summer and that didn't work for us. Our owners thankfully had the patience to sit it out and the horses are in good health and running well.
Keane skips clear on poignant winner
the trio run the horse in memory of Kevin O'Riordan who passed away though cancer. Kevin was a friend of David Spratt and the all prize money that is earned by the horse goes to Brain Cancer Research in Liverpool University.
Tawaazon completes consecutive wins
Triple-champion Powers three clear
she had a lovely run here the last night and Siobhan (Rutledge) did nothing wrong but was suspended this evening. We went for Colin and he was at his best. We switched it around a bit and had the visor on tonight - we felt she didn't get the full mile here the last night. This was the race for her and we are delighted with her.
Marsa registers fourth win
she did it well. She's a good filly, we were hopeful and she showed a good turn of foot at the end. Joe Rogers owns her with David and Sabena Power.
Maiden success for Mickey The Steel
