The race was coming a bit soon today and the lads didn't put any pressure on me to run him but I said he is well, it is easy ground and there isn't much left this season so I let him run. HRI deserve the credit for these horses as I have two in this division and two in the next and it has opened up loads of options for them; before these horses were getting balloted and you'd wait three weeks to get a run but they have been doing super work to add races. We'll go for something similar with him next and the man on his back is some addition to me, he is riding super well and it is great to give him confidence going into the weekend.

It was a good performance,. Shay was very happy with him before the race and gave me loads of instructions, he was very positive on him. He'd ran in worse ground over hurdles so he felt he'd handle it, he just told me to be good and confident. He's a good, solid handicapper.

He has a valuable 10lbs claim. I've been looking at him pony racing for the last two and a half years and you couldn't but be impressed. He won all before him at Dingle last year and when Ger Lyons released him to the outside trainers I said I'd use him. From his hurdle mark he was well in, but didn't have much to spare either, although the second (The Jam Man) is highly rated as well over hurdles. He is entered for the Listowel Hurdle but I have Wonder Laish for that and he has the same owner; Poseidon could run in a big staying handicap but there aren't many races for him and he won't get into the Cesarewitch.
