Bear strikes for Halford and Whelan
He's a smashing big horse. He's still a bit raw, a bit of a baby, but he loves that surface and a mile is a good trip for him,. We'll probably put him away now and he'll be a grand horse next year. His form entitled him to have every chance and it's nice to get it done with him. They went a good even gallop which suited him as he's a horse that just likes to go asleep and have something to aim at. He was a bit lonely then when he got to the front. He did it well and I'm delighted for his owner/breeder Johnny Connaughton who has a couple of horses with us. We had another winner recently for him with Eagle's Flight. He's a great man, he always keeps a few in training, and it's nice to see him get rewarded with a couple of nice horses. You'd be very grateful to all those owners this year as they've not been able to go and see their horses. Full credit to all the owners for supporting us and encouraging us to keep going.
Whelan grabs quick brace on Uncharted
That's great and I'm delighted with her,. She's a filly that had worked well before we ran her in her maiden and she obviously improved a lot from that run. I have to thank Michael Pyne who is a massive supporter and it was him who put together the syndicate to buy her. I'm very grateful to him. That's it with her for the year and well give her a nice long break. Something like the Madrid Handicap might be worth looking at. That was over a mile but on testing ground at Naas over seven might be an interesting option.
Kudbegood records back to back wins
Maybe he's learning. He was very good there, he hung out a little bit and maybe he doesn't like the greyhound track or something!. It was quite a competitive little race. He missed the break but luckily enough they went hard in front and I was happy enough with where he was with half a mile to go. I'm delighted and hopefully he can go forward again. He's really thriving, he looks great and he's enjoying himself. He loves this surface and it's taking nothing out of him which is good.

Whelan brings up treble on Feminism
She's a grand filly, always has been, but things just didn't go her way,. She wants a nice surface and I'm delighted that Godolphin had patience and left her with us to get the job done. She deserved to get her bracket, she's a nice filly and I think she could train on next year and there would be more racing in her. I'm not sure what the plans are but it's great to get the bracket. It's important as her full-brother (Modern News) has done well as a two-year-old.
Four for Whelan & Halford treble up with Sendmylovetoyou
She's a filly that we always thought was better than her bare form so it was nice to win again with her,. The last night things just didn't unfold for her. She had run a cracker previously in the listed race. That's her ideal trip and I'm delighted for her owner Michael Enright who bred her as well. He's been an owner with us for a long time and has been very loyal and patient. He'll get a great kick out of that. She's got a great page. We might keep going with her next spring and I'd say the idea might be to cover her. She has relatively mileage on her so is a filly that could keep going. The way she ran here in the Listed race we might try and get some black-type.
O'Brien back with a bang as Acclaim secures double
That's great, I'm delighted. It was a little bit of a surprise,. We got him, gelded him, and trained him away for the last three or four weeks. We said we'd let him have a start and see how he got on. Scott was terrific on him and it's lovely to see him take his opportunity. A big thanks to John Culloty who set up the Kingdom Thoroughbred Syndicate and bought this fella for very small money. He has done a terrific job and will get a great kick out of it. At the end of the day we are nothing without the horses so it's much appreciated.
