FormscanBy Stuart Howden - AURORA VEGA did not have much to beat when scoring on her hurdling debut at Cork in August, but she did it very easily and could prove to be a class above the opposition once again here. Saddle Her Up has struggled on her most recent starts but would be a player if bouncing back to the form that saw her win at Fairyhouse in January, while We Got This should not be underestimated on her return.

Quotes on We Got This (IRE)
I really fancied her, all her work has been really good. I'm absolutely delighted for the owner/breeder Maura (McGuinness), who is a long-time friend of mine. She's a lovely mare, every piece of work she's done she's finished it off well. I've a nice grey horse (Walter Grey) who finished fourth last week at Fairyhouse and she finished upside him in a piece of work just before that. Paddy was saying she'd even be better again over further. She met a lot of traffic there. We might look at something at Fairyhouse over Easter for her, over maybe two-and-a-half. Paddy said not to go two again, they went plenty fast enough early there. We might go the novice route, there is a lot of improvement in this mare. I wouldn't be happy with her coat today, with a bit of heat coming she'll turn inside out. I've just four in training but they are four nice horses. After We Got This (IRE) finished 1st at Navan on Sat, 4th Mar 2023 2m Maiden Hurdle Good to Yielding

Quotes on Aurora Vega (IRE)
What a broodmare, two black type horses from three foals. The ground was a concern as she was a little bit keen but I think she was idling a bit in front and there was more in the tank. I’d be hoping we might aim her at some good bumpers in the spring — the Dublin Racing Festival, Aintree and Punchestown as there is good prizemoney. That’s what I will be trying to steer Willie towards anyway!. She keeps improving. She has a lot to live up to but she is doing it at the moment. She seemed to be fine on the ground. That’s a lot different than winter soft but she handled it fine. After Aurora Vega (IRE) finished 1st at Gowran Park on Fri, 29th Sep 2023 2m Bumper Soft to Heavy
