FormscanBy Tom Weekes - EL CHAMPO is winless from eight chases but is suited by race conditions, having also run well in a similar race at Cork earlier this month (Lightkeeper finished fourth). A three-time hurdle winner, the selection was Listed-placed last August and while it is frustrating he has yet to win over fences, a reproduction of his latest effort would give him every chance. Banprionsa’s form figures are uninspiring but the ex-point-to-point winner showed useful form in the first half of last season. She was well beaten in two Fairyhouse hurdles on her last two runs but might progress from last month’s seasonal reappearance and, being rated 116 over hurdles, is helped by receiving her 7lb mares’ allowance. Step Out finished second at Ayr on his chasing debut and should also compete.
