FormscanBy Donal Murphy - While clearly not one of the leading lights at Ballydoyle, JEROBOAM should be able to make the breakthrough in this weak contest. The 83 rated colt is without a win in eight starts, but has filled the runner-up spot on four separate occasions. The son of War Front has had a break since his latest effort at Leopardstown in July and anything other than a win for him here will be disappointing. Punakha has finished second three times from five outings and she is the clear danger. She was beaten just three parts of a length by My Holy Fox on her most recent start, and that one since gave the form a boost by following-up at Punchestown. Plezantlysurprised has some solid form to his name and is capable of making his presence felt with Luke McAteer taking five pounds off. Alala is an interesting newcomer in the line-up. The grey filly is closely related to plenty of winners, with six-time victor Empirical Power the most successful of them. Cheval Blanc was slow away on debut but eventually finished eighth of fourteen and he should come on plenty for that experience.
