Hurricane Fly makes his seasonal reappearance in the Grade 1 Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown (2.15pm) where the going is Yielding. The forecast is for a dry day to begin with rain later in the afternoon.

The reigning champion hurdler is long odds-on shot to beat his four rivals today and if he does so he becomes the horse to win the most Grade 1s ever. He is currently tied on 16 wins at that level with John Henry and Kauto Star.

The first of seven races at Punchestown is off at 12.35pm. There are a couple of Grade 2 novice chases on the card in which Defy Logic and Don Cossack are the favourites in.

Down in Cork the going remains Soft, Yielding to Soft in places on the hurdle track and Soft on the chase course. There was no overnight rain. The forecast is for showers.

The action starts at 12.55pm and there are seven races. The Grade C corkracecourse.ie Handicap Hurdle at 2.35pm sees Eric McNamara's Questions Answered installed as the favourite in his bid for a quick-fire treble.
