< Twinlight banished the memory of a poor run last time as he struck at Grade One level for the first time in the Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown.
Willie Mullins' seven-year-old, pulled up in the Hilly Way at Cork, was settled in fourth by Paul Townend and moved up menacingly on the home turn as Hidden Cyclone made the best of his way home.
The 16-1 shot was upsides at the final fence and got away from it better than his rival, powering up the run-in to win by four and threee-quarter lengths.
Mullins runners were heavily involved in a dramatic renewal of the other Grade One event, the Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle, but it was bad news for Closutton as Nichols Canyon unseated Ruby Walsh and Mckinley was pulled up.
That left three and it went to Henry de Bromhead's 11-1 chance Sizing John who galloped on strongly from the front under Johnny Burke to beat Sub Lieutenant by six and a half lengths.
Denis O'Regan and Tony Martin landed a double completed when Living Next Door (20-1) took the huge prize for the Paddy Power Chase, travelling sweetly into the straight and coming out best by a length and a quarter in a thrilling finish with favourite Foxrock
Cheltenham bumper winner Silver Concorde was sent off the 1-3 favourite for the Paddy Power Maiden Hurdle on his jumps bow but succumbed tamely when tackled by Martin's 10-1 shot Blair Perrone who won by two lengths under O'Regan.
Des McDonogh won the big juvenile hurdle for Jackie Bolger on Friday and repeated the trick when Theophilus (4-1) took over on the turn into the straight and ran on strongly to land the Paddy Power 'Number 1 For Live Streaming' 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle by six and a half lengths under Danny Mullins.< Rock The World looked to be coming to win the Paddy Power Games Handicap Hurdle but didn't get away from the final flight as quickly as Pat Fahy's Shantou Ed (8-1), who held on to his advantage up the run-in to win by a length and a quarter under Alan Crowe.
