Colm Murphy's Aladdins Cave (5-1) had the Dunshaughlin Handicap sewn up under Joseph O'Brien, but he nearly pulled himself up and got home by just a short head from Saajidah whose trainer Kevin Prendergast is still seeking his 2,000th winner.

O'Brien was at his strongest as he completed a double on Pat Flynn's Waydownsouth (5-2 favourite) in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap.
