Wingtips cruises home to give Walsh treble Wingtips gained an overdue success when cruising to victory in the two-mile maiden hurdle at Navan. Tony Martin's charge was sent off 1/4 favourite and looked value for those prohibitive odds as he travelled sweetly to lead at the second last. Ruby Walsh, completing a treble on the card, didn't have to move a muscle as he eased clear before the last to record an 11-length success over Classic Event. Wingtips was taking a drop in class having been fourth in Grade 2 company on his last visit here last month. The winner swished his tail throughout the race but it is not something that concerns Martin too much:- “He's been a bit unlucky and deserved that. We'll take it step by step with him. “He has a bit of a habit of swishing his tail but I think it's really only a habit as he will knuckle down and battle.” Philip Enright was given a four day suspension for making insufficient effort on fifth-placed Forever Gold.
