Well backed newcomer wins finale The James Ryan trained Red Napoleon attracted plenty market support before making a winning debut in the concluding Come Racing Again Saturday 26th September Maiden at Navan today, winning under Fran Berry. The gelded son of War Chant had been backed from 20/1 this morning into 8/1 s.p. and in the end quickened up well in the closing stages for a three quarters of a length win over McGuigan. Ryan later stated "he's always been a really nice horse and is a lovely mover and that ground was lovely for him today. "Fran gave him a lovely ride and he wasn't knocked around. He'll improve an awful lot as he was only 80 percent and that was the first time he had horses around him. "It's great to get him started off. We have no plans but he'd be a lovely horse for the all-weather at Dundalk." By Tom Weekes, quotes from Gary Carson
