Tycoon on target for Ascot

Aidan O´Brien reports Tycoon in good form for the King George & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on Saturday, and the Ballydoyle trainer also had news of other stable stars at Naas this evening.

´Tycoon´s improved a lot from his run in the Irish Derby, and is in good shape for Ascot,´ said O´Brien after saddling Troubadour to make a winning reappearance in the mile Darley Stallions Race at Naas.

´Troubadour´s a lovely horse and, if he comes out of this race well, could go for the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood next week. The Juddmonte International at York is also a possible race for him.´

He also reflected on a frustrating season so far saying, ´We´re just not getting a clear run with any of the horses due to a lot of little problems. Wolfe Tone, Magritte and Mingun could all miss this season. Brian Boru will run in Munich this weekend, while there is a race for Powerscourt there the following week.´
