Try Again scores for Flynn and Coen Try Again gained a much deserved fifth success at Roscommon today as the Paul Flynn trained gelding landed the Pyramid Bookmakers Handicap under apprentice jockey Ben Coen. The son of Dubai Destination had finished second three times and third once on his last four starts but today battled well for a three parts of a length win over Marlborough Sounds. Galway Hurdle winning trainer Paul Flynn later said “I wasn't actually going to run him as he wasn't eating. He never leaves food and he didn't eat since yesterday when I declared him so it was fifty-fifty but I knew he'd love the ground and the track. “Yer man (St Gallen) got away from us in Galway but we can't say the draw beat us as he was outside us. “He's a grand tough horse. All the horses are running well but we're getting all seconds and it's grand to get one on the board. “He was going to go to a 0-70 in the Curragh in a week or so but we won't get in there now and he'll probably go to Listowel. “He jumps well. I ran him on firm ground over hurdles and he couldn't handle the tracks I ran on him, as well as the ground. He's well handicapped over hurdles if he gets his conditions. He's probably better on longer tracks but having said that he might go back to Galway as you nearly have to run where the races are. “We'll just keep him going to the end of the year now.” Quotes from Gary Carson
