Tesseracht, the 1/5 favourite, made it three bumpers in a row when beating Fu's Island by a length and a quarter at Tipperary.
The four-year-old gelding was sent into the lead by Sarah O'Brien in this three-runner race over two miles.
Tesseracht and Fu's Island burned off Closer To You with over three furlongs to travel. Fu's Island was hard ridden on the approach to the straight with Tessseracht travelling much the better.
However, Fu's Island (4/1) refused to go away as the pair raced track-width apart. O'Brien drew the whip on Tesseracht at the furlong marker and he kept on to beat his game opponent.
Aidan O'Brien said: "Obviously it would have been lovely to have had a lead but he'll have learned more doing that. Sarah gave him a lovely ride as someone had to go on."
Tesseracht had previously scored over course and distance and at Bellewstown.
This gave O'Brien an across-the-card double as Wedding Vow took the featured Group Two Kilboy Estate Stakes in the Curragh.
The Stewards interviewed Miss S. O'Brien, rider of Tesseract concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.(3)(e), in that she had used her whip other than down the shoulder or the hind quarters and having considered her record, suspended her for one race day.
