Tareze added to an easy Clonmel maiden win last autumn when taking the Listed Ryan’s Cleaning Apple’s Jade Mares Novice Hurdle over 2m4f at Navan.

The Henry de Bromhead-trained mare travelled well to head the front-running Just For Love approaching the final flight and soon settled the issue when asked for her effort by Darragh O’Keeffe.

The 15/8 chance stretched clear on the run-in to score by eight lengths, with Blue Mosque getting the better of Just For Love for the runner-up spot.

Owner/breeder Sally Rowley-Williams was on hand to enjoy the success and de Bromhead was represented by Robbie Power who said, “She's improving all the time.

"She's a fine, big mare and I thought that was a very good performance. She travelled very sweetly behind the pace and, when Darragh gave her a squeeze, she picked up well.

"She jumped super - she is a very, very good jumper.

"Delighted for Sally as well - she has had some good horses over the years with Special Tiara, and she has got a good mare on her hands now.

"She could go either or (Cheltenham or Fairyhouse), but I think Sally would be quite keen to go to Cheltenham with her. if the ground was on the soft side, it could be a possibility that she could go to Cheltenham.

"She's probably entitled to go after that.

"I wouldn't be worried dropping back in trip either - Darragh said he felt he was hacking all the way, so she's not slow either."
