Suvenna powered clear in the closing stages for an all-the-way victory George Fitzmaurice Handicap at Listowel.

Shane Foley bounced out in front on the 9/2 shot, in the seven furlong contest, and she responded well when pushed along turning for home.

The Michael Halford-trained pulled away from her rivals inside the final furlong for a three-and-a-half length victory over Zebgrey 5/2 favourite Approcaillis could only finish eighth.

The winner was following up on her maiden success at Dundalk last month.

"She had a bit of pace early and that always helps around here. She travelled and jumped and stayed going well,” said Foley.

"We thought a lot of her last year and were surprised it took until the last day for her to win."
