Jockey Willie Supple and trainer Paul Deegan were back in the winner’s enclosure this evening when 9/2 shot Dream Deer came home in front of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery Handicap.
Supple raced the Royal Applause colt in rear and produced his mount to challenge from over a furlong and a half out and the pair kept on well for a half length win over One Set
A delighted Deegan said afterwards: “That was a good performance considering he was carrying top weight. We think an awful lot of the lad.”
“He can change gears very quickly and he’s a very sharp horse. We might go for the Birdcatcher at Naas next.”
