Siskin ever so professional on debut Siskin (2/1) put in a lovely performance to take the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Race on debut. The American-bred colt travelled smoothly under Colin Keane, in the Khalid Abdullah silks, in this six furlong contest before coming through to lead in the final quarter of a mile. He was ridden in the final furlong and kept on strongly to beat Harpocrates (7/2) by two and three quarter lengths. “That was nice. He's a nice colt and has been straightforward since the day I got him,” Ger Lyons said. “He hit the line strong and ran out well. He was green and I thought Aidan's was coming to pick our pockets. “He's no more than what we were seeing at home. The two-year-olds at home are more backward than him and we're only going with older horses but he's been so professional. “Colin compared him to Cappella Sansevero in that he's a push-button ride and you can drop him bridle and cruise or once you rev him up he can pick up and go. “It looks like there is plenty of improvement, physically, in him. The first task is done and we'll take our time and see how he grows. “He tell us if he's ready to run back or not. We won't be talking about the Coventry or anything, there are no big plans and there's no pressure on me to start aiming for the stars.” Additional reporting by Gary Carson
