Setback for Sir Harry

Academy Sir Harry is only '50-50' to make the Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse later this month.

Trainer Eoin Griffin reports that his exciting gelding returned with 'a nasty cut' after winning the Grade 3 'For Auction' Novice Hurdle at Navan on November 9.

'At the time it didn't seem much of a problem but he was pretty sore afterwards, and we will only start riding him out again in the next few days. I won't make a decision on the Royal Bond until early next week,' said Griffin.

'I would like to run him in the Royal Bond but, if he can't make that, the Barry & Sandra Kelly Memorial Novice Hurdle at Navan next month is an alternative.'
