Bottler'secret faces an acid test on his hurdling debut at Naas this afternoon when lining up in the opening Grade 3 Winning Fair Juvenile Hurdle.

The Dragon Pulse gelding won twice on the Flat for Ciaran Murphy last season, achieving a mark of 87.

He was subsequently bought by owner Patrick Sheanon and makes his first outing for new handler Gavin Cromwell this afternoon.

The four-year-old holds an entry in the Triumph Hurdle next month and Cromwell said:-

“I'm throwing him in at the deep end, into a graded race straight off, but he's entered in the Triumph and if he can't show up in this race there is no point in me going there.

“He is a nice horse, he jumps well at home so we'll see after Sunday.”
