Sea The Boss made a very pleasing debut for Jessica Harrington in the Irish EBF Auction Series Maiden at Tipperary.

An extended seven furlongs was on offer for 13 juveniles and Shane Foley soon had the Sea The Moon filly in mid-division.

Foley exerted his arms turning in and his partner made progress racing into the final quarter mile.

A couple of cracks sent her to the front inside the furlong pole and she was in charge in the closing stages in coming in by two and a-quarter lengths at 5/1. Quickstepping the 15/8 favourite, was the horse headed by the winner at the business end and could make no impression on her in second in the closing stages. Sli Na Ghealai (7/2) was half a length behind in third in a race where the front three finished clear of the remainder.

Jessica Harrington said: "We have always liked her, we liked her in the spring and she grew a lot. She is a fine looker and is only a frame filly, so is next year's model.

"We'll see what we do and there is the final of this series at Naas (October 15) for her."
