Scream Blue Murder pleases many at Cork Those that got stuck into the well-backed favourite Scream Blue Murder in the opening Father's Day Racing June 15th Race at Cork never really had a moment's worry as the Oratorio filly convincingly obliged under Wayne Lordan. Lordan soon had the 5/4 shot at the head of affairs and she was travelling at her ease throughout the five furlongs. She crossed the line a length and three quarters in front of outsider Master Speaker. The David Marnane pair Nocturnal Affair and Dandy Boy (missed the break) were second and third in the betting but they could manage only fourth and fifth respectively. Tommy Stack trains Scream Blue Murder and his son Fozzy said: "She was entitled to win – the conditions suited her and we'll strike on now for the Ballyogan Stakes. "Wayne said the ground is only barely soft and that it's more yielding. She likes to get her toe in." (TW & EM)
