Russell doubles up on hat-trick hero Bye Bye Bye Bye O Bye's wins are coming in threes at present as the nine year old completed his hat-trick in the Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Handicap Hurdle at Tramore today, under another traffic-dodging drive from jockey Davy Russell. Bye Bye O Bye gained his maiden win at the 28th attempt in an Inch point-to-point in March and having gone the extra mile to win at Kilbeggan on Friday, followed up again today under another canny Russell ride. Winning trainer Michael Griffin was quick to praise Russell, who was recording a double on the day, saying "Davy is worth a fortune. He is brilliant, he had it down to a fine art.” He added “I've never had a moments worry since I got him and he is the easier horse ever to train. The only thing I couldn't understand was how he was a maiden when we got him. "Someone said there is a three mile 0-109 in Cork in a few weeks time so he might go there. The way he jumps fences in point-to-point he could be anything over fences. "He is going to be a fun horse over fences for the summer as long as he stays in one piece. "His owner (Danny Grealish from Galway) couldn't make it today as he is working. I'm very thankful to him." By Tom Weekes, quotes from Donal Murphy
