King Of Redfield will not after all have to carry a penalty when he lines up in the Freshways Handicap Hurdle at Galway.
John Hanlon 's six-year-old finished a neck behind Hoopy in the Tote Jackpot Races 3 To 6 Handicap Hurdle at Ballybrit on Wednesday and the stewards held an inquiry into possible interference on the run-in.
They decided the placings would remain unaltered, but Hanlon lodged an appeal in a bid to get the placings reversed and under Turf Club rules, the gelding was then required to carry a 7lb penalty on his next start.
Connections have now withdrawn the appeal, so King Of Redfield is back to the original weight for Saturday's contest.
