Runner-up Bishan Bedi had a rough passage through when trying to come through from behind, and Golden Raven also had to switch, to the outer, to get a run. At the line a neck split them and there was just a short head to Toccata Blue in third. Halford, earlier on the mark with Rezeki, added: "He got a little taken off his feet early but then travelled well and Shane let him find his feet turning in. He was in against a seasoned bunch of horses today. "I'd say that'll be it for the season. He'll keep improving. He has the size and scope." (GC & EM)
