RANSOM WINS APPEAL Rapid Ransom has been reinstated the winner of the Budweiser Race at Roscommon on Sunday June 15 after a hearing yesterday in front of the Appeals & Referrals Committee.The Kevin Prendergast-trained filly was demoted on the day by the Roscommon stewards in favour of Masandam as they judged that Declan McDonogh´s mount had improved his placing by drifting slightly left in the closing stages.The decision suprised many at Roscommon including Prendergast who called it ´a ridiculous decision´.Alan Magee
