Promoting racing at the ploughing championships HRI will be promoting horse-racing with a stand at the ploughing championship, which take place at Grangeford, near Tullow in Co.Carlow on September 28-30.The ´Go Racing´ marquee will provide information for interested/potential racegoers and includes free copies of the HRI´s ´Beginners Guide To Horse Racing´.Representatives will be on hand from many sectors of the sport such as RACE, Tote Ireland, National Stud, the racecourses and UCD & UL horse racing courses.A series of talks, interviews and entertainment will take place throughout each day, with Hector O´hEochagain the host today and Brian Gleeson taking over for the remaining two days.The main aims are:- to create an interest in racing- provide racing dates for the winter season- gather names for a database to be used in future promotions.
