Prix de l'Abbaye hero wins Dundalk's finale Prix de l'Abbaye winner A Case Of You is limbering up for a trip to Dubai and picked up Dundalk's Book Online @ DundalkStadium.com Race today, enroute to Super Saturday on March 5. The son of Hot Streak was a famous winner of Longchamp's Group 1 race last October for trainer Ado McGuinness and regular jockey Ronan Whelan, prior to a fifth-placing at the Breeders Cup, and today returned following a three months break. Another leading sprinter Logo Hunter was due to make his eagerly awaited reappearance from injury, but was a late withdrawal on veterinary advice, leaving A Case of You to start the 4/11 favourite to defeat three able but lower-rated rivals. The race went to plan for A Case Of You, which went clear in the final furlong to beat Meishar by three and a half lengths. McGuinness' assistant Stephen Thorne later said “the boss is away in Dubai at the moment. We're delighted with the run, we were keen to get a prep run into him before we head on our travels. “The plan is the Group 3 on Super Saturday and then, all being well, we'll end up in the Al Quoz Sprint on Dubai World Cup night. “Our apprentice Cian MacRedmond is a big part of this horse, he rides him every day. He works very hard and has prepared the horse beautifully again. “Ado was delighted and all being well, we'll be on the flight at the end of the month.” Quotes from Gary Carson
