Fozzy Stack is looking forward to Son Of Rest stepping back up in grade in the Coolmore Stud Power Stakes at Navan on Sunday.
Narrowly beaten on his Tipperary debut last summer, the son of Pivotal then ran a fine race in defeat when fourth behind 2000 Guineas favourite Churchill in the National Stakes at the Curragh.
He opened his account in some style on his first start as a three-year-old at Cork three weeks ago and now tests the water at Listed level.
Stack said: " He won his maiden very nicely but I suppose he was entitled to, given his form behind Churchill.
"It's always nice to see the form boosted and the second (Florida Times), who we beat by six lengths, has come out and won.
"Obviously he needs to take another big step forward but he's entitled to run in a Listed race having won a maiden like that.
"There's plenty of runners, mind, which is surprising for a race like this."
Son Of Rest features in a 17-strong field, with Aidan O'Brien's Intelligence Cross the highest-rated runner.
The War Front colt won a Group Three and was fourth in the Middle Park Stakes as a two-year-old and can be expected to strip fitter for his recent comeback run at Dundalk.
O'Brien also saddles Alphabet who bolted up on her first start for the yard at Naas last month.
The Ger Lyons-trained Psychedelic Funk and Radio Silence from Jim Bolger's yard both bring solid Group-race form to the table, while Childhood is stepped up in class by Willie McCreery after she rounded off last season with successive victories.
McCreery said: "It's her first run of the year and we're looking forward to getting her started.
"Hopefully she'll improve from it, but she isn't an over-big filly, so it's not like she needs a lot of work.
"It looks a hot enough race, but we're happy with her."
