Oh Goodness Me, Bolger causes upset as Mad About You fails to shine Sent off the 3/10 favourite for the feature race at the Curragh today, Dermot Weld's Mad About You had to settle for third in the Group 3 Lodge Park Stud EBF Express Stakes as the outsider of Jim Bolger's two runners Oh Goodness Me, got up late for Davy Moran. Having made the running 20/1 chance Fiery Red looked like holding on under Shane Gorey, when outbattling her stable mate and the money on favourite inside the final two-furlings. However, with a late surge, Oh Goodness Me came to deny both the Weld duo and get up by a shorthead at odds of 12/1 to complete a quickfire brace for the trainer. Speaking afterwards Jim Bolger said that his options are open over where the Galileo filly may be seen next. "The trip is maybe a little on the sharp side and I was worried about the ground beforehand but she will be a big improver year," said Bolger. "I now have to make up by mind between the Musidora Stakes, both the Irish and English 1000 Guineas and the Irish and English Oaks." Bolger completed a treble throughout the day and that was instigated with Three Rocks, who may have been left at the start in the Margaret Weldon Celebrating Mothers Day Handicap but showed great determination to come back from that bad start to see off the ever consistent Emily Blake by a length and three parts. A drifter beforehand, Three Rocks, by the great Rock Of Gibraltar stayed on well at the death and afterwards Jim Bolger, the winning trainer remarked, "I wouldn't have a lot that would love the ground at the moment but he is one. He probably lost his way a little but after he won last year." Toraidhe rounded off a good day for the Coolcullen outfit as he landed the concluding maiden with onlooking joint owner, Peter Canavan very pleased with the efforts of his colt by High Chaparral.
