Noyer first, rest nowhere Henry De Bromhead is a regular in the winners' enclosure at the Killarney's July meeting and the trainer's Viconte Du Noyer, under Jonathan Burke, readily justified 5/4 favouritism to win the Dawn Hi Lo Milk Beginners Chase today. The French bred son of Martaline raced prominently throughout, improved to lead entering the home straight, before staying on strongly for a 22 lengths win over The Herds Garden. Afterwards De Bromhead stated "he's a 132 rated chaser but was finding it difficult to win a beginners chase during the winter, which is a reflection on how hard it is to win in Ireland at the moment. "He was very disappointing at Tramore the last day but made a woeful mistake which out him out of it but I'm delighted with that (today). He's still only six, goes on most ground apart from extremes and we'll look for a novice between two and two and a half miles next. "We always held him up but Johnny (Burke) wanted to change tactics today and being positive worked well for him." By Tom Weekes
