Myrcella ends 'painful' memories with first win Consistent filly Myrcella ended a long wait for a belated first win today at Killarney as the Paul McEnery trained filly landed the Killarney Oils Handicap, at the 14th attempt, under jockey Colin Keane. The daughter of Anjaal had form-figures of '73562824-36232' and in today's race Myrcella set sail for home with a furlong to race, before recording a length and three parts win over runner-up Power Of Lazarus. Co Kilkenny based trainer McEnery was represented by his son and Myrcella's owner Billy McEnery who later quipped “it was her 14th run so it was getting a bit painful! “She has been very unlucky more than a couple of times between this year and last year. She always just seemed to find one too good for her but it is great she has got her day and she is an honest filly who always runs her race. “We bred her, I own her myself and we still have the mare at home, so whatever good that'll do us as we have a half-sister at home and every update to the page is a good update. “We'll have a look and see what comes up and Colin (Keane) said to mix it between seven and a mile and the soft ground is definitely a help.” Princess Myrcella Baratheon was a character in the television series Game Of Thrones.
