Moscow reaches new heights

Moscow Flyer put up a career best performance when landing the William Hill Tingle Creek Trophy Chase in impressive fashion at Sandown on Saturday, and that´s official!

The ratings confirm what the eye told us as National Hunt handicapper Noel O´Brien has moved the Jessica Harrington-trained gelding up 4lb to a new high of 174. That leaves him just 1lb behind Best Mate on Anglo-Irish figures.

The nine-year-old, now unbeaten in 11 completed chase starts, quickened clear after three out to beat last season´s Arkle Trophy hero Azertyuiop by four lengths with three-time ´Tingle Creek´ winner Flagship Uberalles a further seven lengths adrift in third.

´It was a very impressive performance against some very good horses,´ O´Brien told the Racing Post. He added, ´It was a field of Champion Chase quality, which was unusual at this stage of the season.´
