Review WEXFORD 25TH AUG

Davy Condon stole the show at Wexford on Friday night as he booted home a treble.

Classic Croco kicked off proceedings when battling gamely to repel the challenge of hotpot Ecole d'Art (3/10f) by a length in the Paddy McGee Wexford Ltd Novice Hurdle.

Condon then switched to the Flat as Constantine claimed the Jim Whitty Memorial Handicap.

The Mark Loughnane-trained gelding came to challenge entering the straight and got the better of Tango Foxtrot by a length after a good duel.

The best was left to last as Condon gave the well-backed Man On The Nile (5/2f) an ultra-confident ride in the tote online betting Handicap.

Willie Mullins' charge was delivered entering the straight and Condon didn't move a muscle as he secured a cheeky neck success over Barningham.

Mullins was completing a double as Ebony Shades had run out an easy nine-length winner of the opening tote.ie Maiden Hurdle under Ruby Walsh.

The easiest winner of the night was Zulu Queen who turned the tote account Maiden into a procession, making all for an easy seven-length success under Wayne Lordan.

Gypsy Lord followed up last month's success at the course when going clear before the last for a cosy four-length success in the Bank Of Ireland Wexford Handicap Hurdle.

Paul Carberry, who ended a barren spell at Bellewstown on Wednesday, was back in the winners' enclosure at Kilbeggan as he partnered a pair of easy winners for Noel Meade.

Restoration made all for a cosy six-length win in the D & E McHugh New Holland Maiden Hurdle while Deep Return didn't come off the bridle to land the www.hacketts.ie Beginners Chase by 19 lengths.

The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle also provided a decisive winner with First Fix galloping on strongly in the closing stages to score by 12 lengths.

Lyn's Rashar fought doggedly to repel all challengers in the J.A. Shaw Handicap Chase. The 20/1 shot answered every calling from Mark Ferris to get home by a length from Penny Hall.

Goose Island made a winning move three out when claiming the opening Pat Doyle Memorial Mares Novice Hurdle while Rose Of Appeal was delivered at the last to land the Cameron Willis Handicap Hurdle.
